Overview - Bots In General AI
A bot, short for robot (deep huh!), is a software application that performs automated tasks. It is designed to interact with users or other software systems, typically through a conversational interface. Bots can be used in various ways in the field of artificial intelligence (AI). Examples of bots include chatbots which pop up when you visit a website, virtual assistants, customer service bots, social media bots, web scraping bots, and gaming bots.
MyCAT Bots in BizGPT
Private MyCAT bots are for use within your BizGPT Account. They are not available for users outside your organisation.
MyCAT bots include the following settings:
- The Model used, such as GPT 3.5 or GPT 4
- The groups in your organisation who can use the bot
- The personality of the bot (Factual - Balanced - Creative)
- The data the bot will use when you chat
Public Shared Bots (BizBOTS) For Your Websites
Public bots are called BizBOTS. These can be added to your websites. For information and pricing on BizBOTS click here.
Who Can Create and Use BizGPT Bots?
Administrators and Account Managers can create and use bots. Users can select the bots that have been allocated to them when using chat but they can't create or edit them.
Building Bots In BizGPT
In BizGPT a bot is a pre-determined set of rules you use to determine how you want a chat to perform. Build bots using the following parameters to suit your user groups and the type of information output you require. Bots can be built with the following parameters;
- Knowledge Base Strictness including;
Factual - Information based on available data and knowledge.
Balanced - Neutral perspective, considering different viewpoints and weighing pros/cons.
Creative - Imaginative responses, exploring possibilities beyond conventional thinking. - Groups - Select which groups in your organisation and their associated users have access to the bot.
- Folders - Select which data will be searched when using the bot.
Creating & Editing Bots
To create bots (Administrators only), Select Bots from the top menu, then +Add New Bot (at top right).
Administrators can create and edit bots as follows;
